Players vote to sit Noah one more game

“Ask the players who made the decision; I don’t know”

In a players-only vote, Bulls players decided to lengthen Joakim Noah’s discipline for his emotional outburst at assistant Ron Adams on Friday in Philadelphia.

Bulls players voted to make Noah sit for his second straight game, Sunday’s 1 p.m. tipoff in Atlanta. Previously, interim coach Jim Boylan had said Noah’s discipline, which landed him on in the inactive list in Philadelphia, would last only one game.

A shell-shocked Noah struggled to find answers when asked about his teammates’ decision. Read more

Bulls pack, but try to leave baggage at home

“Well who are you playing? You’re not really beating the best teams.”

Bulls continue drift into abyss

Because the Bulls won four of their first six games under Jim Boylan, there was optimism that the sudden coaching change two weeks ago might have jolted the underachieving team into playing up to its potential. via Naperville Sun

A little deja boo

“If we’re going to turn this around, we have to win close games.”

Since Jim Boylan took over as coach, the Bulls have squeaked by a Kings team missing its top two scorers and four rotation players.

They have dawdled for most of three quarters against a listless Bobcats team before pulling away for a convincing victory. They have lost two winnable home games to the Magic and Trail Blazers in overtime.

Notice a trend? There is no such thing as a sure thing — or a stress-free fourth quarter — with this team.

And so it was Tuesday night at the United Center, where a Knicks team that entered just 1-13 on the road embarrassed the Bulls with a 105-100 comeback victory. Read more

Beese: Family lets Bull in on the joke

“I could not believe we were able to help one of the Chicago Bulls find his car”

Boylan gives Bulls good vibes

“I know that eventually my shots will fall”

Luol Deng did some stretching, light jogging and shooting after Monday’s practice at the Berto Center, and his left Achilles’ tendinitis makes him doubtful for the Bulls’ game Tuesday night against the Knicks.

Andres Nocioni went home early with a slight fever. Ben Wallace rested with general soreness. And Chris Duhon’s shot needs to visit a doctor - he has missed an incredible 23 of 24 shots.

But if you listen to interim coach Jim Boylan, who is 4-2 since taking over for the fired Scott Skiles, the sky is blue - even if the Chicago forecast is for rain. Read more

Bulls Continue Strong Play, Beat Bobcats

In flow, Nocioni lets his shot fly

“He affects the game in ways that don’t always show up in the stats.”

If Andres Nocioni looked like a different player while scoring 13 of the Bulls’ first 15 points in Saturday night’s victory over the Kings, that’s because he was.

‘My problem has been because I miss a lot of shots, I’ve been hesitating,’ Nocioni said. ‘[Saturday] I came with my mind ready to take the open shot with confidence. Sometimes the problem is I think too much about my shot.’

Starting for the injured Luol Deng, Nocioni let fly early and often. He made his first three three-point shots and finished with 26 points, double his season average. Read more

Deng may sit with tendinitis

“It’s a good soreness. There’s not anything wrong with my knee. It’s just the body soreness that I’m kind of working with today. I think as long as my knee doesn’t bother me, then I’m good.”
