Going back to bad old shooting habits

One game after shooting a season-best 54.3 percent, the Bulls reverted to their season-long offensive ineptitude Monday night.

They shot 28.8 percent in the first half, which led to coach Scott Skiles benching Kirk Hinrich and Tyrus Thomas , and 34.1 percent overall.

Skiles insists the slump will end for the league's lowest-scoring and worst-shooting team.

'I've seen these guys shoot the ball,' he said. 'At almost 99 points a game [last season] ... we looked forward to possibly being a 100-plus-points-per-game team. Coupled with our defense, that equals a very good record at the end of the season. Read more
